This small masterpiece, not far from E.
Bazzaro's tomb, dated 1888 and inaugurated in March 1889, is in memory
of Vincenzo Brusco Onnis, a radical republican friend of the artist. It
is posed in the central area near the Crematorium Temple - about 600
meters from the entrance gate.
There are other works of Medardo Rosso in
the cemetery; my favorite is Filippo Filippi Memorial (1889, East
Circuit, n. 325). The artist is buried in the Non-Catholics section,
Field 4, n. 119.
